Reporting School Quality in Standards-Based Accountability Systems and CSE Technical Report No. 539, The Design and Evaluation of Edcuational Assessment and Accountability Systems

The North Carolina School Accountability System was described as an example of a state using a quasi-longitudinal system in Policy Brief 3 and Technical Report No. 539. Although North Carolina does use a quasi-longitudinal approach for school performance composites, North Carolina uses matched longitudinal data for their ABC accountability system. Thank you to Richard Hill of The National Center for the Improvement of Educational Assessment for calling this to our attention.
