CRESST researchers publish well over 150 articles every year, primarily in distinguished peer-reviewed journals but also in more practice- or policy-focused publications such as Educational Leadership, Education Next, Phi Delta Kappan magazine, the American School Board Journal, and the National PTA's Our Children magazine.
CRESST partners publish scholarly books and are regularly quoted for their expertise in America's newspapers such as the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, or Chicago Tribune.
Our researchers serve as editors, co-editors, and reviewers for a number of national journals including the journal Educational Assessment.
Reisman Appears in Online Video
CRESST Senior Researcher Abby Reisman found that students using the Stanford "Reading Like a Historian" curriculum outperformed their counterparts in traditional classrooms.
Reisman appears in a recent video discussing the study that she directed and published in the journal, Cognition and Instruction.

CRESST Simulation System Increases Navy Readiness
As part of a long-term project with the Office of Naval Research,
CRESST created an innovative Damage Control simulation system that
supports Navy readiness to respond quickly and safely to shipboard
fire and flooding casualties. In this brief video, Navy officials
note how the CRESST program can be used to enhance the training and
assessment of these critical damage control skills.

CRESST Supports Military Readiness
