CRESST researchers publish well over 150 articles every year, primarily in distinguished peer-reviewed journals but also in more practice- or policy-focused publications such as Educational Leadership, Education Next, Phi Delta Kappan magazine, the American School Board Journal, and the National PTA's Our Children magazine. CRESST partners publish scholarly books and are regularly quoted for their expertise in America's newspapers such as the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, or Chicago Tribune. Our researchers serve as editors, co-editors, and reviewers for a number of national journals including the journal Educational Assessment.

Baker and Herman Speak on 21st Century Skills at International Conference

CRESST Directors Eva Baker and Joan Herman recently spoke at the International Symposium of Organization for the Study of College Admissions hosted by the National Center for University Entrance Examinations.

CRESST Research at Games Workshop

CRESST researchers Noelle Griffin and Richard Wainess recently participated in a major workshop examining the role of women in the game education industry. 

Noelle Griffin presented on the role of gender in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) achievement, with considerations for computer games that support learning. Her presentation is available here

Baker to Keynote International Conference

CRESST Director Eva Baker will be a keynote speaker at this year's Taiwan Education Research Association International Conference (TERA), December 15-18, 2011 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. 

TERA, a founding association of the World Education Research Association (WERA), promotes academic exchanges in educational research and international collaboration among educational research communities.

Professor Baker is current WERA president and former president of the American Educational Research Association

CRESST Research Presented at International Conference

Graduate Student Hamid Mousavi recently presented CRESST research at the IEEE International Conference on Semantic Computing.

Mousavi, Deirdre Kerr, and Markus Iseli developed a new text-mining framework and linguistic query language that improves computational performance and allows for simpler text-mining queries.
